This multi-day food and wine festival features an impressive ensemble of winemakers and showcases the deliciously diverse cuisine of The Sarasota-Manatee Originals restaurants.

Overview of Forks & Corks
Forks & Corks is hosted by Sarasota-Manatee Originals, a collective of independently owned restaurants and culinary innovators committed to uniting the energies of local restaurants and celebrating the food that’s indigenous to our Gulf-coastal lifestyle.
The festival is Sarasota-Manatee Originals’ largest annual community event and fundraiser, which takes place in the courtyard of the breathtaking Ringling Museum of Art, prominent Originals restaurants, wine shops and other exciting venues around town.
A week of interactive events and seminars hosted by renowned vintners and culinarians culminates in a Grand Tasting, where up to 1,800 guests are invited to indulge in small plates from Originals restaurants and glasses from international wineries.
Forks & Corks Food Events and Wine Events
Foodies and oenophiles will have a tantalizing calendar of events to choose from this year, including curated dinners, tastings and master classes. Attendees will even have the opportunity to taste and take home their favorite wines at all of the events throughout the weekend. In fact, Forks & Corks is one of the only festivals in the Southeast that offers this experience.

Auteur Exclusive Reserve Tasting, Auteur Sarasota Sales Gallery (January 24) – Auteur Sarasota is hosting one of the very first Forks & Corks tastings in its stunning sales gallery at 1297 N. Palm Ave. The ticketed event will feature four wines from around the world as well as catering from Michaels on East. The following wines will be served, and expert representatives will also be in attendance:
- Cuvaison Estate (California) – Steve Rogstad, Winemaker
- Nino Negri (Italy) – Sara Maule, Brand Manager
- Domaine Tariquet (France) – Sarah Brownell of Fredrick Wildman Importers (Wine Certifications: CSW,WSET III, CMS Advanced Sommelier)
- Marchesi Di Barolo (Italy) – Mina Rouas of Fredrick Wildman Importers (Wine Certifications: CSW-WSET Level 3)
Wine Tasting, Michael’s Wine Cellar (January 25) – Established in downtown Sarasota more than 30 years ago, Michael’s Wine Cellar is a boutique shop connected to Sarasota’s award-winning Michael’s on East restaurant. During the tasting event, guests can simply walk in and browse and sample Michael’s impressive selection of wine, no reservation required.
Tasting Under the Tent, The Butchers Block (January 25) – This gourmet market features an extensive selection of more than 1,500 world-class wines. Its annual “Tasting Under the Tent” allows guests to sip and savor glasses from the featured Forks & Corks wineries. Contact The Butcher’s Block for ticketing information.
Forks & Corks University Master Class, Michael’s On East (January 25) – Forks & Corks University is the ultimate way to meet the wine industry’s best and brightest. These special seminars are led by passionate and world-renowned wine industry professionals and wine makers, offering participants the opportunity to embark on a whirlwind tour of the world’s greatest wines. Panel topics include “Women in the Global Wine Industry,” “Vines of Italy” and “A California Perspective.”
Grand Tasting, John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art (January 26) – It all leads up to this! The grand finale of Forks & Corks’ food and wine festival is hosted in the shadow of the Ringling Museum’s iconic statue of David, featuring a collection of more than 350 hand-selected wines accompanied by a mouthwatering array of dishes from Originals restaurateurs and chefs. Live entertainment and photo booths are the ideal finishing touches for this one-of-a-kind culinary experience.
Champagne Collet Dinner, Overture Restaurant (January 23) – Maison Collet’s gastronomic wines from the heart of France’s famed Champagne region are specifically designed to complement fine dining and fine drinking experiences. This dinner pairs Collet’s distinctive champagnes with Overture’s contemporary menu of “artistically inspired” American cuisine. Tickets required.
Fattoria la Torre Wine Dinner, Café Gabbiano (January 24) – Café Gabbiano prides itself on bringing an authentic Italian dining experience to Siesta Key and for one night only, it will host a four-course Forks & Corks wine dinner alongside Mauro Celli, proprietor of Montecarlo’s Fattoria La Torre dinner. The exclusive Forks & Corks menu includes brie bruschetta, baked pesto oysters, langoustine fra diavolo and more, each paired with expertly chosen wines. Tickets required.
Paul Cluver Wines & Babylonstoren Wine Dinner, Michael’s Wine Cellar – Michael’s On East, Sarasota’s only AAA Four-Diamond award restaurant is partnering with proprietor Paul Cluver of Paul Cluver Wines and Cellarmaster Charl Coetzee of Babylonstoren to host a South African Wine Dinner. Sip wines and and savor contemporary cuisine within the hip, urban Michael’s Wine Cellar surrounded by 1,000 international estate-bottled wines. Tickets required.
